Why it Works:                           

Nourishing Vitamin C Day Serum features a potent and naturally occurring form of vitamin C (15% L-ascorbic acid), expertly formulated with carefully selected antioxidants to protect against premature ageing and reducing the impact of environmental and biological free radicals.

Active Ingredients (learn more)

  • Vitamin C (15%) (L-ascorbic acid) - Protects against environmental oxidants and increases the health of the dermis.

  • Vanillic acid - Strong antioxidant with anti-inflammatory, wound healing activities and protective effects against DNA damage. Deeper skin penetration compared to ferulic acid. Assists in reducing pigmentation by inhibiting melanogenesis - excessive production of skin melatonin.

  • Quercetin - Potent antioxidant found in apples, grapes and berries. Works synergistically with vitamin C and vitamin E to protect against oxidative lipid damage and inflammation while reducing the harmful effects of UVA and UVB radiation. May assist in increasing cellular glutathione levels.

  • Provitamin B5 (0.5%) (D-Panthenol) - An excellent moisturiser with proven wound healing effects and as a result, often described as 'soothing'.

Normal Skin only

  • Vitamin E (1%) (D-alpha-tocopherol) - Protects against environmental oxidants and UVB injury to skin

Oily/Acne-prone Skin only

  • 1% Salicylic acid - A beta hydroxy acid (BHA), well-known for clearing clogged pores and therefore improve acne symptoms. Since salicylic acid can also buff away dead skin cells, it boosts the efficacy of other active ingredients to by allowing them to better penetrate your skin.

  • Sha-Ren which is a plant rich in flavonoids and phenolic compounds such as quercitrin, epicatechin and vanillic acid, while also rich in the bioactive terpene, bornyl acetate. Sha-Ren extract remains a powerful and naturally occurring combination of antioxidants with soothing effects.

How to Apply

Cleanse face. Apply 4-5 drops to clean palm. Using circular motions, rub into skin. For best results, follow with our Night Gel the following morning.
