This cleanser is formulated to leave the skin’s natural moisture barrier intact, while gently removing dirt, light makeup and other impurities. It combines three hydrating factors to help keep skin feeling soft, supple and calm.
Gently massage one pump of cleanser into wet skin.
Rinse thoroughly. Can also be used on dry skin with excess removed using a damp cloth.

Cleansing the skin is an interesting process because it involves a compromise.
Surfactants, the molecules that lift away oil and residue, work because one end is drawn to water and the other to oil, allowing both to be carried off in the rinse.
The complication is that the skin's own protective lipids are also oil-based, and a harsh surfactant makes no distinction between the residue it is meant to remove and the barrier it is meant to leave behind. The result is that familiar sensation of tightness: not dryness in itself, but a barrier briefly stripped of what holds it together.
Humectants offset this. They are molecules that draw in and retain water, and several are among the compounds the skin produces to keep itself hydrated, its natural moisturising factor. Present throughout the cleanse, they hold water at the surface as the surfactants do their work, so the skin is not left depleted at the moment it is most vulnerable.
